I had the same problem, although I also had a drip on the floor. The fluid can mix with all the gunk around the front sprocket preventing it from dripping to the deck. I replaced mine with an Aprilia seal at a cost of about £12 and this cured the problem. Since then, some clever fellows have sourced a cheaper alternative:https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=4982
It was very easy to replace and I had no problem bleeding it although like you, I have heard that it can be problematic. The biggest disappointment was that the nice new clutch fluid turned black again after a couple of weeks! But, that seems to be a common Falco issue that doesn't affect the clutch operation. I'll change my fluid again in the spring.
you can go down the aftermarkit mpl rout , makes the clutch lighter ,
i might add after 9000 miles the seal has went on my mpl and its not a job you can do yourself , it goto go back to germany

I had this problem and bought a new seal for a fraction of the price that Aprilia charge.
It was D-Rider (as ever!) who pointed me in the right direction. My local bike shop told me I needed a new slave cylinder. I printed off a thread from here and gave it to them along with the £2.50 seal and hey presto - sorted for £22.50. half hour labour and the bit.

Just a get out of trouble tip, it's possible to do a temporary repair on a slave seal by adding a little plumbing PTF tape under the seal in the grove of the piston. This will bring more of the worn seal lip in contact with the bore. I rode over 6k miles this way with no further fluid lose until I managed to get a new one.
Most of the time it's just crud in the bore that leads to a bad seal anyhow. Clean and polish before refitting with mentholated spirit avoid using potrolem based cleaners, not good for rubber seals

I have a spare slave cylinder in the garage (I bought it as a spare but have never needed it) it is 2nd hand but I reckon it should be fine
£20 delivered if you want it. (If Clint doesn't want it, its then available to anyone else)

I've spent 50% of my life riding motorcycles, the rest I've wasted!
