I had no choice but to touch a pin,it was not lining up!!! She fired up first time,but not rode the beast yet

I would never straighten pins with my fingers - electronics pliers with insulated handles if it's just the odd pin.

I ve had them in with pone of the prongs broke before now and it stil ran ok latex gloves or free petrol station ones aren't a bad idea but I've handled loads of circuits etc with no issue
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

OK, to set the scene:
Basically, standard Falco, K&N filter, Blueflames (with baffles in). Just come back from a service at Griff's, but the only run out it's had was on the motorway, blowing a gale with torrential rain (so pretty much like a forum ride-out, I guess...) So other things have changed slightly since my last proper ride.
Fitting the chip was fairly straightforward - the old one came out easily, the new one went in using a credit card to help align all the pins. Trim pots were already at 12 o'clock, so no changes there. Firing it up was a bit of a struggle, until I realised I hadn't reconnected the map wire and was running on the open airbox map! Couple of bullet connectors, and it now fires up on the button.
Went out for about 40 miles today - again, blowing a gale, roads were damp and greasy but not raining.
Straight away, even before warmed up, you can tell that everything is a lot smoother. Gone is the hesitation when going from a closed throttle, low speed response is much better which is great when driving over wet manhole covers. Sounds minor, but I've always struggled with low-speed, small throttle openings being snatchy when you're negotiating tight corners, I usually slip the clutch but found that I could just crack the throttle and the bike was responding straight away, rather than pausing before kicking in.
Out in the open, the Gabro chip was faultless. Smooth roll-ons, sharp but clean response to changes in throttle. A sense of urgency was there, with overtakes being completed with ease. Rolling on from low revs, the bike just pulls and pulls. I'm not one to cane it everywhere, but looking down after a quick blast saw some larger numbers on the speedo than I'd normally have. Effortless speed is provided, you really don't realise how hard the bike is driving, but equally it doesn't feel like you have to go fast everywhere - but you have to keep an eye on what you're doing, otherwise license-threats would be easily caused!
Not a 100% fair comparison given the service, but I definitely think there's a big improvement to be had over the stock chip, especially with how the bike delivers the power. Will have to check back later in the week regarding fuel consumption, when I've put a full tank or two through it.

In order of question: €75 for the chip (what I paid, not necessarily current value). The extra map is a bonus, no discount for only having one. Although he would probably put the same map in both locations, but having both gives flexibility and a selling point if you ever get shot of it. I'm not planning on getting an open airbox, but maybe, just maybe...
Race cans with baffles is essentially standard cans, there's little change in terms of performance or impact on fuelling
