How Fast Is Yours?
Mine has a K&N filter with Evo air kit, Forza chip, GPR cans, 1-tooth smaller front sprocket.
Was out very early this morning so thought I'd hold it open for a while. Past 135 or so it was accelerating really slowly. Past 140 and the speedo was crawling.
I thought it'd be faster. The fact that I've owned the bike for a year and have only just noticed goes to show that top speed is irrelevant even when you do track days, but still I thought it would breeze its way into the 150s before the rate of acceleration decreased rapidly.

Posting speeds on an open forum ..... never a good idea ......
Even allowing for the fact that you are "obviously posting in kph":smt002, they're still high enough to get you into bother.
.... and as zoidberg has alluded to, having posted in the Items for Sale section, are you actually selling anything?

I've got a similar setup 15/42 gearing with forza, k&n and cans. Mine happily steams up to 145mph before reaching a slower increase. Never had the urge to check exactly how fast ... you are tucked away nicely?
Obviously the speeds I state from here on in are complete lies and I'm just trying to pretend I go over 70 to look super cool...

In standard form they should do 160. A bit too fast for my blood.

With the gearing down you're obviously going to knock off the top speed.
I've got 2 extra teeth in the back sprocket, so not much different to yours, I've found that keeping it in 5th will help at the top end and rev it right out before changing up, keep everything tucked in. The disused airstrip I was using had a couple of potholes and grassy tufts that I had to steer round and I topped out at 258kph, there was a slight decline on the latter part of the airfield though.

From what I've heard, that's not actually the case as the bike cannot pull the standard gearing to max revs in 6th.Falcopops wrote:With the gearing down you're obviously going to knock off the top speed.
By all accounts 15/41 gives you the same real-world top end (if you can find anywhere to use it) but helps you get there more easily.

mine is incAPble of exceeding the speed limit as is the rider
at least since the last 3 speed courses and getting stopped again

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

This is true. There does come a point where down gearing lowers your top speed, but changing it slightly does infact usually give a higher real speed.D-Rider wrote:From what I've heard, that's not actually the case as the bike cannot pull the standard gearing to max revs in 6th.Falcopops wrote:With the gearing down you're obviously going to knock off the top speed.
