some new bits done

First off - the bike is filthy dirty - so mea culpa but it has been ridden a fair bit recently and the weather has been crappy!

I have been quite busy working on some other bikes over the winter, but did have a couple of things that I wanted to do

so, in no particular order....

First off,I wanted to sort out a better way of mounting the Mille renegade cans. I do not use a grab rail at all so... this made sense to me



The brackets are just rough cut and the bolts used are just things that came to hand


Now I have the dimensions etc, I will use the brackets as a template for something nicer, and will use some nice domed bolts to make it look better :)
Also note that my indicators have returned to my old smoked blisters... they are bright but i do like the integration now :)


Next up, I have a garmin zumo and wanted to move its mount from above my clocks to above the headstock.
I have already moved my bars over the triple crown and long term readers will remember that I did drill and tap through a set of bolts as a pin.
I wanted to use a RAM ball mount bar to have a degree of movement, but I am too tight to buy a telferizer mount - so... I made my own variant :)

Here you can see where I have mounted a RAM ball onto some threaded rod - and that locks down into the pin hole and makes a nice ball mount


I have used a long RAM bar so I can move the zumo around - to either come down close to the tank, or to sit up high - if I am using my bagster luggage

Next up, I have a small Camera that I have been struggling to mount successfully for some time - No idea wether this will work or not but...


I made a bracket that comes out of the top of the Fuse box and just puts the camera to where i think it will be ok


Hopefully Team Heat will not notice so much... well - they no doubt will but it does look ok there - and means i can operate the camera - ie turn it on/off while sitting on the bike

I have also sorted out the starcom suppression issues - I have changed a few leads around, and routed power leads differently - now sounds very clear and has all the plug in toys working....

I'm doing necessary but boring jobs like replacing blown LED's in the brake light and making a rubber spacer to stop the HID bulb wobbling about, then it's off for an MoT. Swingarm swap is on hold until some proper money starts coming in again, but at least I've re-assembled my 54mm tee-bees. Will have a a go at tweeking my existing map myself later in the year.
