Personally I really don't trust anything Indian (same applies to the chinks).

The only thing the Indians did right was curry.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Looks like Harley forgot it.
Almost as strange having Harley buy them out, but they always did say opposites attract, and you can't get much more opposite than Harley and MV. :smt017

.... although they did team up with Aermacchi back in the 70s ..... so they have been known to play with the Italians before.

Oh the fun we'll have with MV riders now - referring to their bikes as Hogs and enquiring about the MV branded tasselled clothing.

Thats cos you're not looking at it from a business perspective! Both Harley and MV are "aspirational brands" ie names that allow you to sell bikes for more than you would ever get for them with (say) a Chinese name like Songyang. Big profit matgins. High customer loyalty. Lots of extras like clothes.

So Harley buy MV, put some serious money into production facilities. Probably also into racing. And before you know it, there is someone taking over Ducati's spot in sports bikes. In effect, thats what Texas Pacific did with Ducati. Makes a lot of sense ( or money if you want)
