No problem on the map i was going to take up my memory stick with me and get them to put it on there so will get it to you once it's done .... Hopefully also all the Dyno run info as well so i can post it on here for all to see and either be holding the head high or hanging in shame .....LOL

I'm still holding out to finding a set of underseat exhausts but that's a long term wait i think ....... :smt009

Nice. Speaking as an ex bronze owner who liked the bronze (still got it except in a different colour) I like the colors of the pan and the wheels. You HAVE to cut off 6 inches from the can though.

How deep in Cornwall?
I will be playing out in St Ives the first week in Sept but unfortunately it the car.

Just a bit deeper then St Ives as i live just out side of Penzance in a small village called MADRON ....... unfortunately i will be back at work at the end of the month so not back home until the end of September maybe early October......You coming down on holiday ???

I'll have a chat with the boys doing the dyno run about the exhaust to see what they have to say about it in regards to cutting it down and would it cock up the dyno map made for it. ........which i'm thinking it would !! BUT on the other hand i may just keep it to make you lot happy and give you all something to moan about .... :smt005

It's all about the back pressure.....

Shortening the exhaust may well be possible but not by much

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

'Tuned length..'

If you shorten the pipe too much, the length will be too short and the pulse.. i suppose the centre node of back pressure.. "drops out" of the end of the pipe reducing power. The thing is to keep the pulse inside the can as it goes thru the rev range while still making the can look cool to the eye.
With a combination of pipework shape and bore diameter, can length and bore diameter, baffle type, heat retention techniques, you have have an awful lot of fun eking out horsepower and doing just what i said above.. which is probably why Jorge was such a nutter when you gave him a selection of cans and a dyno... he used to have too much fun!

I think at your stage of tuning on the bike, you're firmly into the Dyno Zone.. sod the looks, it's all about the power!!

Yes - I'm sure you'll have a field day with this announcement, but mine is shorter.

..... and yes Pete .... it's blacker than yours. :smt019

Yours has probably also got innards in it like baffles etc....

And tbh I would rather have shorter exhausts but Jorge knew what he was doing so.....

Kwack those pipes are awesome no good for going through traffic though !! :smt003

The way I see the exhaust is surely they knew what they were doing when they made them for an RSVR so as I have the whole system is should work .....maybe :smt017 !! Have to say DR she's looking good and every time I see those Ohlins forks I do see me start thinking about selling another one of the kids kidneys......Will I ever learn as they still haven’t forgiven me for the last one !! :smt009

It made a lot of difference when I changed over to it and has more of a top end rush now to the loss of low down grunt ...........more so then the tatty launcher I had on it before and it's a hell of a lot quieter !!

Andy's - D-Riders tail is totally standard (Insert rude comments here)

How ever, I happen to have an integrated tail light and indicator system on mine....

rocking horse poo is easier to find - the smoked rear lens is one of Gred D's and the light board was made by Nooj to order after a discussion regarding the design with myself....

Tail lights are just a smoked lens from the batch that was made a few years back by GredD along with Nooj LED lighting that he made a while ago and no longer makes (though he now has some others that he and Pete are using)

Indicators, number plate, number plate light are the standard Aprilia Falco items

Sorry Andy didn't mean to set you up for a nice little "dig" from Pete ......although on this site it's battle stations from the word go !! :smt005

Don't suppose Nooj would be interested in making a special one off .......without telling anyone , would he ??? :smt036 Would look good and it would mean I could get the grab rail back on my bike although no real need for it as I have no rear pegs anyway !!

I doubt that nooj would make the old LED boards like mine but he may well do you a set of the new ones that he and Pete have got (with integral indicator repeaters)
Best you ask him
