Now that rings true...

My absolute favourite film, the one that stuck in my mind the most over the years is indeed black and white.

Hell Drivers. Remember seeing that as a very young kid and it's been my favourite ever since. Got a copy about 4 years ago and have watched it about 6 times since.

Saw Rock of ages at the weekend and it was shit.

some funny bits and pieces, but not enough to make it a decent movie.

There were subtitles for the songs so you could sing along, so I tried that for a while to relieve the boredom, but it didn't work, so I tried falling asleep, but it was too loud. There an hour and a bit I'll never get back.

Although I'm not a great Tom Cruise fan, he was pretty good.

Was it shot with one of those organ grinder type cameras? :smt002

Hell Drivers. Sounds like a goodun. I'm a sucker for a gritty British film. :smt003

A Night to Remember is also a good un. I'm surprised some talentless yank hasn't done a scene for scene remake and added as hours worth of turgid bollocks for no apparent reason...
