Well that stirred up a bit of a hornet's.
My gut instinct is to be a bit of a separationist in this respect, but when I think about it, we (Triumph, Norton and parts manufacturers) need to sell bikes and parts to Europe as well as us wanting to buy Italian exotica etc.
If we did quit the EU, the faceless ones would still impose the regulations and we would have no say at all, let alone the tiny say we currently have. So I think, for now, we need to stick in there and try to influence things as much as we can.
In leisure aviation we have had some success in convincing them of our point of view. But it is an ongoing fight.

LOL - I work with a Frenchman (nice chap, rides a Street Triple). He loves France ..... as a great place to visit and take holidays ..... but he says he wouldn't want to live there.robbier6 wrote: i do realise some people wholeheartedly believe europe is a good thing, and that's what makes this place a nice place to visit.

I studied the EU proposal and came up with a letter, got a list of south east region MEPs. One had a note that he preferred email so sent an email and copied in the others.
That was Sunday afternoon. Monday morning at 10 am I got a very supportive email, including information about progress and what has been done so far - from Nigel Farage's (UKIP) office.
I was impressed by their quick and professional response, especially after MAG saying they were least willing to help. I await with interest for other responses.
