Thanks Jay, it is getting older and tattier these days and needs a good fettle and some new stainless or titanium bolt, bit like me I suppose but not as bad.blinkey501 wrote:I like all the colours of the falco although i was'nt that keen on the yellow to start with.
I think the black falco look stunning. Howards bike looks incredible has does Greg D's, I have had two black bikes in the past and when polished the paintwork gleamed![]()
Not falco's of course
Anyway, if you really want a black Falco, so you have a full set of three, I could maybe arrange to find you one.
I went out in the car to South Leverton with my mate Dave tonight, (cold and wet and not too many bikes) and it looks like he may have to sell his Falco as his health ain't getting any better and he still hasn't got anything like full use of his left hand, he had a minor problem when his thmb fell off, (well dropped out of the worn out socket). Previously had his spine welded up and a heart bypass and he is on a downer again at the moment, (pain does that), but could still change his mind

Took him out to see some old bikes (that he loves), bought him a carvery and poured numerous jars of beer down his throat, but still not really cheered him up yet!
Could try more ale I suppose, but he was a bit wobbly on his walking stick when I left him.
His bike is the other one you saw at South Leverton with mine, and is Tweaker's old bike, (another Dave to confuse things). In the early days on this site Tweaker's black Falco and F9s silver one were probably the two best in the country and inspired many of us on here, so there are many nicely modded bikes now.
Dave's asked me to sort some pictures and post them on here to see what interest there is, but I spent most of the night trying to talk him out of it!
He even talked about getting something gentle like a CB500 tonight, so the pain must be bad.
It's been really great riding out with my oldest mate, who I started riding with nearly 48 years ago, on two black Falcos.
Bit like living the dream for me, but it may be coming to an end much too soon.
