Quick release fasteners
Where did you guys all get your quick release fasterners from when replacing the standard bolts holding the seat on?
I'm regularly taking the seat off and fancy getting some sooner rather than later.

Piece of piss to make your self mate.
I picked up a couple of coach bolts, washers, R clips and 4 nuts for lor less than a fiver.
Cut the bolts to length screwed them in and locked with the washers and two nuts under the frame spar so that the non theaded end sticks up where the seat locates.
Drilled a hole for the R clip and job done, took all of an hour. Top tip is to bend the round end of the clip up so it's easier to grip and pull out.
Been meaning to tie the R clips onto a piece of string so I don't lose them, but I've had them on for close on 8 years and still got the originals, so why bother.

Thanks, but I don't own a drill - need to get one at some point.
It's not really worth the time to make some when the saving is probably only a few ££. I'm lazy.
I presume a need something like a bolt with no head that screws in into the subframe, and has a hole in which a pin goes through, locking it.
Must be available for a few quid from somewhere.

I have them on mine, they're great! I did have to reshape the bodywork under the seat to get full access to the 'R' clips though. Nothing major, just a little Dremelling.

I ended up making shed loads of them. I still have a couple of pairs left, full length and preshortened, drop me a PM if you want some. The ones on ebay are mine, but I'll do you a deal on here.
By the way, I hate you lot!! As some of you know I sold my Falco to buy a YZF750R which I'd always wanted. I love it more than I dreamt I would, but I still keep looking at Falco's. At this moment I'd rather have the YZF than the Falco but I keep thinking about buying another Falco as a third bike (YZF, project bike and Falco), I can't afford to run that many bikes but the Falco bug refuses to let go. I am personally blaming you lot for this.
