Is there a fix for a switch that comes on if you shorten the span adjuster.
Can have it long reach light ok ,or comfy light on until you tap it or change gear.

Eh? The first sentence kinda made sense (at least in terms of English), but after that?
Not sure why changing anything on the span adjuster would affect the brake light

When the span is close to the bar slightly more of.it fits into the mounting slot ,more friction? though ptfe spray has no effect.
Gear change might be the jolt enough to move it out?
Looked on the parts dig, no return spring shown.

i would be tempted to take the switch out and have a close look... budget for a new one.....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

If it's causing problems you could always fit a pressure operated one - I've had to do that for my radial master cylinder as it doesn't have provision for the normal switch.

Nope - sorry. I bought it with the master cylinder second hand.
However ..... I believe you can buy them from here:
