Other end of the country to me, looks like a good involved ride, very like one of my faves round here, across the Mendips and Cheddar Gorge
Soundtrack took me back a bit, dancing like a loon somewhere on the moors near you !

Aye, nice run, nice scenery. Road over the actual pass is bumpy and off camber in parts so be careful and watch as you drop down to Hawes - my mate flipped his fazer into a field on a tight downhill bend.

Cracking roads in the area, Hawes is a nice village and normally rammed with bikes. Trouble is it attracts the police in their unmarked Subaru's which I have had an interesting encounter with! ;-)

You'll enjoy it I'm sure.

Did it the once last year, windy to start with and pain if you get stuck behind some OAP tourist!! But yeah opens up, not sure if the road surface will be up to much with the recent weather, as it says some big drops on the right and twisty bends, can also recomend heading up to Kirkby Stephen, then turn left and head for the A683 to Sedburgh, then the nice bit down to Kirkby Lonsdale (similar to Snakes pass), burger van on right just before the A65, this is where you'll usually find the unmarked Subaru (Settle/Ingleton area)

As i said only did it once towards last year

Alternative is head right towards Leyburn and down to Ripon/Harrogate, also do a search for Manor Cafe, they have routes for that area on their site

When you heading that way?

Yes - agree with the others. great views but just be prapered for a bimble along rather than a blast. The view as you drop over the tops is amazing on a clear day. Great route also from Leyburn to Hawes and on to Sedburgh. Can also hand a left out of Hawes and press on to Ribblehead viaduct then left again back to Skipton.

Agree, the run from Hawes to Ribblehead is better and faster and more opportunity to overtake, worth an excursion and back again, the viaduct is worth a stop and view, also good is the road from the viaduct down to Settle

The lad had an oxford luggage bag on the back and a pair of dual port exit exsausts which i think they were blue flames..
I stayed in his mirror so he could see the bike so possibility of a chat but his overtaking around cars was lets say, not when i would have overtook so i let him go...
