Maybe though maybe not.

Ethanol in fuel is not a good thing for our bikes .... though the temptation to ascribe every pop bang and stumble to it is probably overdoing the scapegoat thing a tad.

Other problems will still exist :smt002

Signed the petition and also put a complaint in to Trading Standards last week, but heard nothing yet.

Finally got a message on my home phone from the Trading Standards bloke, and will be contacting him either tomorow or Friday.
I will be using Andy's original post as my main starting point.
Does anybody have anything else they would like me to add?

If its a government led change, how do we get compensation ?

And if we are supposed to have choice, will the government MAKE garages say exactly what we are paying for...

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Well done, Howard; glad you got a response. I'd like to know how fuel with ethanol in it can be considered 'fit for purpose' when it has known and serious side-effects; attacking various types of rubber, brass, zinc, cork, etc; all of which are very obvious components of fuel systems? What kind of due diligence was done, where are the official reports and who can we sue?

Be careful what you wish for...

The concept is great, but the reality will take 10-20 years of development and refinement before it's even close.

Is it a Leap Year Thing?

OOOPS
(quick edit)

Just read one of your other posts, really sorry you have had such a bad year.
I know what you have gone through, as many years ago I lost both my parents to cancer within a couple of months and it was hell.

I remember reading something many years ago in one of my stepdads Pipesmoking Rover Driver Monthly that the army had successfully converted a bike ( prob Armstrong MT 500 ) to run on diesel, the goal being a common feul policy for all vehicles
Hell, the petrol breathing version is a bastard to start on a good day so Im guessing the diesel version came with an electric boot
