Got myself a new Italian bird...

#1 Post by wayofthedarkhand » Fri Dec 30, 2011 6:21 pm

...it's a Falco in Oasis Green.

So after many emails, PMs and telephone conversations, i've now joined the Aprilia Falco club.

Just back from the dealers:

Image

Datatool S4000 Remote alarm
Beowulf Silencers
Datatag
Full Scottoiler system
Original tool kit present and all documents
Pillion seat and cowl

The bike is EU Spec with EU headlight (i didn't see it as a problem as it'll come with 12month MOT)

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Welcome

You collect it next weekend.... So modding starts week Monday then

And sorry for calling chrissie ball a cunt.. But he is...

:)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

As for the rest of you, expect lots of pictures and lots of silly questions, like how do i change the front light bulbs etc..

New Italian Bird

#11 Post by fatboy » Fri Dec 30, 2011 8:31 pm

Very nice looking bike, and a bit on the rare side ( many posts about the colour and its scarceity, sorry no idea how to link them ). I think the Falco is a stunning bike to look at, then you notice the indicators and cant help but wonder if Aprilia bought a cheap job lot of 80s MZ indicators.

One thing i've noticed, is that everyone says the Falco has a really heavy clutch. i've just come from Bandit 1250 and the clutch on that seemed much heavier than the Falco. The cable clutch on the ZX9R is like a feather in comparison

Maybe taken abroad for press test ride duties in Germany, etc? or bought by a Squaddie in BFG?
