Falco top fairing

I have been after a Falco top fairing for a while but to no avail, so I contacted a fairing manufacturer called motor cycle fairings see link for website

I emailed a guy called Chris and although he doesn't do the Falco at the moment he is considering it if demand were high enough.
Just thought I would get a feeling of interest from a few forums to see if its worth him making a mould and producing them, what do you think? His prices seem reasonable, but I have never bought anything from him so can not vouch for quality, has any one had any dealings with the company or would there be another firm worth approaching?

I have not links with this company and am purely looking for a replacement fairing myself,

D-Rider, why "not again" has this been looked at before or am I missing something?

I just realised the fairing would fiberglass and not plastic like originals, does any one see this as a problem?

Believe me falco fairings are like rocking horse sh**, I tried and managed to get a second hand one with not too much damage. Yes is the answer to your question. I am definatly interested but it is all down to cost

Nah - the bellypan was the subject of my exasperation. Nooj ran around getting one sorted - in lovely carbon. Prototypes produced. Lots of interest until it came to the time to commit ...... then a tumbleweed moment ... well, more than a moment - it's still going on.

A top fairing might be a different kettle of fish so I'm not knocking the idea.
How many would go as far as buying until they actually needed one, I don't know - they are not small items to store.
Also, is that Italian company that does Falco plastics still doing them?

Just been speaking to Chris, he says he can't do carbon fibre at present,
but he would do a belly pan if someone could supply one!!! - it would not be useable after the molding process

cost for the top fairing would be £130 supplied in white gel coat

Any more thoughts?

Yes the Italian company that do the replacement Falco panels still seem to be making them ..... Follow the link in the Fairing Repairs thread in the Technical section (not the link to the repairer but to the spare fairings supplier):

Looks as though it costs €80 (seems a bit of a bargain)

Just talked to motopike. com, has i went to there premisis months ago he was dicussing making a belly pan in carbon, His wife has told me that he is in discustions at this moment and is checking the quality of the belly pan now. She also told me they have a carbon insert for the headlight for falco track bikes. He will be ringing over the weekend i will post prices later if he is happy with the quality

80 Euros seems cheap, but i think with postage its nearer £125 Any one know what the quality is like?

Nah it's about £100 with postage

Unfortunately I don't know what the quality is like as I don't know anyone who has actually bought from there. I think that people have usually found things on ebay or forums - but sometimes have had to be patient.
