insurance question

#1 Post by joecrx » Sun Nov 06, 2011 6:17 pm

when i took out my insurance out they asked me how many miles i might do , i said about 6000 miles ,kinda based on tyre life , and season weather unlike last year i have been using m bike alot more, and the maxi sport touring tyres are lasting very well no complaints there ., and good for the price good grip , for me anyway ,
i have 4 monthes left on my insurance but already done 5000 miles ,and recon about 3000 (edit )2000 miles left on my tyres anyone got any experience if they are over the aloted millage , i will be using the bike less now the weather is changing , but theres always the odd good day :smt002

Did you tell your insurer what your mileage was ?

Thought not :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I don't think they calculate mileage on a sliding scale, more mileage groupings. The group you were quoted for probably went up to, say, 10k anyway. Check with em.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
