It would be good to see some pics of the racks Keith
I'm very impressed with the system, seeing it on a lot of bikes here, but since I've not come across a single Falco yet I'm not sure exactly how it attaches.
cheers

I think the general term used to describe the way we attach them is imagineering

I have a Ventura rack on my Falco. The photos here show how the rack is mounted.
The rear mounts use the cross-brace inside the rear fairing (what the pillion grab rails bolt into). I suggest getting some long (75mm or so) high tensile steel bolts, just in case.
The front mounts bolt into the inside of the passenger footrest / exhaust hangers.
Cheers,
V

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

I'd add to Viking's description that the "cross bar" beneath the seat hump is drilled and tapped horisontaly to accept the bolts through the grab rails and verticaly for the bolts through the undertray (which make up Vicking's custom tail tidy).
I cut away the cross bar leaving the two ends as luggs, to keep as much space beneath the hump as possible and to save a few over engineered ounces.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

thanks for that guys, much appreciated.
i've ordered the bits and will have a look when they arrive - don't envisage any problmes.
my replacement tail unit has arrived from the states... 50 quid for the entire section... only needed the lower undertray due to some cracks, but aprilia here want 60 quid just for that with a 3 week wait!
I dont think I'll need to change my tail tidy at all (its one of those german ones we've discussed previously on here)... but I may just need to mod things a little after fitting the L brackets.
cheers again

It's an Evoluzion kit, actually. It seems sturdy enough and once I get rid of those bloody ugly stock indicators it will not only look a lot better it will have a lot less weight hanging on it.

Hey Rick, I've got an undertray languishing about in my garage if you want it.
IIR it's in good condition, I'll dig it out and get some pic's to you if you're interested.

Thank goodness this request wasn't directed at Pete - we might have got some altogether different images from his special collection .....

Hi Rick
I fitted my Scotoiler on the similar 01 Falco and needed the same info, will look for the link, it wasn't that long ago. Fitted it upright like Nooj and then put the twin feeder on the rear sprocket similar to DRider (hidden from view)
Rear packs- i find the Kreiga sytem versatile and secure
