Slight change of plan regarding me turning up for this.

Having dropped the *** **** **** :smt002 franchise recently, they have reacted by trying to sue me for a load of bullshit accusations. Long story short I can't afford a solicitor and the only way to keep things out of the courts if for me to sell all the equipment I originally got with the franchise back to them.

This means I won't be able to do any work at the Norfolk meet as the kit is being collected tomorrow afternoon. It also means I won't even be able to come up for a social as every penny I have will need to be spent on replacement kit.

That's a bit shit mate... What sort of equipment do you require?

Sorry to hear that Nooj. Hope you don't get too much hassle after all the effort you've put in. I can kind of relate to your situation because my wife took a franchise about 7 years ago then quite after 12 months. They really made life unpleasant for a few months. We didn't loose any money on paper but in reality she worked for a year for nothing. Good luck to you and Deb.

Very sorry to hear this, Nooj. Do they really have a case, or are they just strong-arming you hoping you'll crack?

Annoying today, this time next year it'll be irrelevant. Onwards and upwards.

No1. priority is a compressor so I can keep doing Puncturesafe installations. 50 litre tank, at least 2hp pump if poss. Depends what's going and what's left of my budget ultimately.

Hi Nooj, Lidl have a compressor offer on at the moment, 2.5 hp but only 24L tank. It's only £80, though...

Well, I'm a bit pissed off

On my GP's advice this morning, I'll be coming by car again.

Just had the results of the MRI scan on my back, & it's rather more f**ked than I thought. Nerves compressed in various places, couple of vertebrae 'off-set', bone abnormalities, 7 knackered discs, including one in my neck pressing on my spinal cord, causing the varying numbness/pins & needles/pain/weakness in my arms & legs; it's this she says gives cause for concern, as the compression is 'marked', and she's advised that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to undertake such a relatively lengthy ride. Now I'm waiting to see a spinal surgeon at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.

So, if anyone wants anything getting & transporting for them, let me know this evening.

And, if I end up doing the Chinese run again, can someone please look after my phone for me?

Jaffa cakes on the list. Shall I get the tequila as well, or is that in hand?

Oh well at least that makes me feel better - I'll be in the car too. Not only that but I'm on an antibiotic that tells me to avoid alcohol AND caffeine! Looks like I'll be on water then...............

For the benefit of shoppers - I'll bring my own decaf tea and coffee!
