Popham Mega Meet

#1 Post by Nooj » Wed Aug 17, 2011 3:24 pm

21st August, Popham Airfield, where the A303 joins the M3 east of Andover.

Always a big meet with plenty to see, auto jumble, trade stands (I'll be there), classic bikes, ride-outs, ride-ins, lots of Ducatis turn up for this one.

Funny you should mention that, the thought had crossed my mind. Probably going to take a trip down anyway, just a shame it'll have to be by car :smt010

On second thoughts I won't as we have visitors Monday and the house is a tip!

In view of recent weather it might be worth a call to check it's going ahead - I know one year it was cancelled because the field was waterlogged.

nod nod, the parking area seemed to be on clay so would bog up nicely :smt012
So many of the smaller lanes are smothered in gravel washed from the field edges and gateways, was a not altogether pleasant trip to Romsey today, even though the sun shone
