Getting round to it

#1 Post by Oddkid » Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:27 pm

Cor! not posted in here for a while.

In light of my recent crash, i need to buy some parts. Seeming that modding your bike is commonplace here on ridersite i thought going 'non-standard' will be acceptable.

I've sourced an integrated LED tail light and i fancy integrated indicators i the new mirrors aswell but the only ones i can find are for hte 04-08 RSVR.

Does anyone have any experience making these fit or can offer me any advice on making them fit if they don't as standard.?

They can probably be made to fit - someone from AF1 made some adaptors for them to fit the Falco.

The question is, do you want to have integrated indicators or do you want to see more than your elbows ?

Rear view with later indicators on earlier bikes is even worse than with the standard mirrors.

Did think about it myself at one point then having become aware of the rear view problems I did think about trying the gixer integrated mirror/indicators ... and then found out that the later RS125 mirrors actually do give adecent rear view, gave up on the integrated idea and went for function!

This one is largely white .... I think it might suit Matt very well ..... It's also got those indicators integrated into the mirrors .........

I have the new style mirrors without adaptors on the Falco and rear visability is out of the question. Look pretty though.

So they do fit then! Fair enough! Biggest issue at the minute is the wheel. I can get the buckled one rolled back round for £60 but not until after the 6th of september. I can't see any on ebay apart from Oz ones but they're £200 each.

.... and compared to the standard ones, worth every penny

I'd certainly invest in them ahead of tarty indicator/mirror combos

Well tarty mirrors/tail-light costs the same as standard stuff. I'd love Oz wheels but i havn't got £400 for a pair at the minute.

Really? In that case things must have changed quite a lot as last time I looked the tarty mirror/indie combos cost a lot more than the standard mirrors (and that was second-hand prices)
