friend of mine has a power commander 3 - the serial version - that he may well be looking to move on

This unit has not been tested - but should be fine

if it does not work, then obviously return for refund - though not including postage of course

I think he would take between 75 and 100 quid for it plus postage

afaik, this unit would fit onto the Falco, the Futura and the mille/tuono series 1 bikes

I would suggest that this would suit some one who has or wants to change a few bits on their bike - like exhausts, air box etc AND THEN IS PREPARED to spend a few quid on a dyne and set up - i.e., this is not plug in and forget mod - you will benefit from using some one else's map, but to get the best from it you need to get it set up properly

any one interested please let me know

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Bargain .... and can be used with USB if you get a USB to serial adapter.

..... and let's face it, few of us that have Power Commanders have got round to doing a custom map but made good improvements running downloaded maps.
I know when I changed to the 2:1 exhaust, it ran like a pig until I found a good map and downloaded it to my PCIII.

No - it will not work on all of these - Fut Fut has a different ECU and is not compatible ..... Falco, Mille (up to 03 inclusive), Tuono (up to 05 inclusive) are compatible - just need the right maps. [dates are build dates - not registration dates]

Geoff

Power commander software is at http://www.powercommander.com/powercomm ... e=PC-Older

Also from there you can download an awful lot of maps - remember that Mille and tuono maps will also work - so look at the different maps compared to what you have on the bike

I think you will want to get a a few bits together - a serial To USB connector - http://mobile.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=29968 - but that will depend on if your laptop has a serial port......

A couple of piggy back connectors ? - Get from maplins as well
