Forum Member Down :(

#1 Post by D-Rider » Mon Jun 27, 2011 5:00 pm

Yesterday while I was at the hospital visiting my better half, I bumped into Oddkid's girlfriend Steph and a couple of others from the Coventry bikers forum.

It seems that Oddkid (Matt) was out riding yesterday and failed to negotiate a roundabout and went down.
I'm not sure how he is but apparently he was talking to the emergency services that attended.

I saw some post-accident pictures of his Mille - it seems to have suffered minimal damage - hopefully the same is true of Matt.

Heal up quickly

Please pass on my best wishes, if you see him or Steph, for a speedy recovery, and my hopes that his injuries are minimal.

I've just had a brief MSN chat with Will who tells me that Matt has suffered a few bumps and bruises and has been released from hospital into the big wide world.

I'm sure the bruises etc hurt but glad to hear it's no worse.

UPDATE:

I've just spoken to Will again.

Oddkid can't remember the accident as he was knocked out cold and is bruised all down one side. Painful but nothing broken.

His bike is a little worse than first thought. The biggest issue being a buckled front wheel.

So, if anyone has a spare Brembo front wheel for Mille / Falco that they are trying to flog, then Oddkid is your man (or let Will or me know)

I have a spare one that I can lend to tide him over but don't want to sell it - so if anyone has one to sell .....

Glad it was the bike buckled rather than him. :smt001

He's been about on Facebook. Don't think he's healed up yet as I know he has been having trouble meeting his rent on the benefits he can claim while off sick. Don't think things are great for him at the moment - Will may know more.
