I agree it looks lovely with the single, but I prefer twin exhausts, always have done and its not just the noise (ref Bigun). As for changing anything else well I think I might fit a set of heated grips and that'd be it, don't want to change anything else as it looks so good :smt001
Not sure that it's going to sound much different as a single or twin can setup. Surely the firing of the motor itself is the bigest factor - along with the accoustic characteristics of the particular can or cans in question. I would imagine you'll get as much variation between different makes of sets of twin cans as you will comparing to a single can.

As for the heated grips .... been there, done that :smt003

Twins on an inline 4 sound different, normally they give a deeper noise, but I don't know what it'll do to a v2. Plus of course it also depends on the bore of the pipes and cans. A full race system on a Mille with twin cans is loud, very loud. :smt003

Is it worth mentioning at this stage that Gio is a tad hard of hearing as well as any more obvious faults? :smt005

Of course it's not only F9 that pioneered this 2-into-1 approach.
This is the Classic sollution for THE large capacity performance V-twin:

In my younger days I always had a picture of one of these on my wall .... but the dream of ever owning one is lost in the reality of the price they fetch these days.

Nevertheless, in many ways, the Falco could be regarded as a 'spiritual successor' to the Vinnie.
...... In fact, sitting here in Coventry, Stevenage sits almost directly on a straight line between here and Noale ....

Nice, but not quite good enough for my liking. The real Shadow's engine is a thing of beauty.

I agree completely .... this new one does its best to hide the engine - particularly the rear pot - and the new one is a 90 degree motor. Nothing wrong with that configuration in itself - technically many advantages ... but it's not right for a Vincent (and it's one of the things that I'm not convinced about on the new range of Aprilias)
