My first one was similar, not long after I got my Falco about 3 years ago, sat in the middle of the road in the "box" waiting to turn right off the main A road through our village.
Continuous stream of cars coming the other way, waited for a ages, saw a bit of a gap, power, clutch go, like you I didn't twig straight away until I reaslised I couldn't steer cos the front was a foot in the air. Might have looked cool to the queing traffic, but came down with a bang.
It's always a bit of a different buzz when it's not deliberate for some reason. Best one for me was last summer, out with Daughter's fiance' (CBR6) and his mate (Fireblade), with me up front, so havin a bit of a play to show em old farts can still play, I suppose. On way back from a Wednesday night at Willingham on a straight road near Retford I've been down many times at around a ton, bit of a rise half way down. This time topping 125 and pulling hard, when hit it the rise and up came the front unexpected, managed to catch it quick and held it up about a foot for a decent while, then gently brought it down. The two young uns were well impressed with the 125mph wheelie, never did tell them I hadn't planned it though!

It looks like the speedo pick up uses a magnetic sensor to count the brake disk mounting bolts as the wheel rotates. (I'm basing this from a post over in AF1 saying not to replace those bolts with titanium ones.)

Which suits me fine. No cable to break, nothing to wear out. Just keep the water out of the sensor as much as possible and you'll be right.

That's the point Gio, you don't really need to be on a V/Twin it's the low down grunt that does it.
Anyway it's Tuesday isn't it
You should find out the real way very soon.
Hope you like it, it took me around a 1000 miles to fully get to know mine after years on IL4s, might be easier for you havin had the Bimmer for a while.

that bike was far to easy to wheelie (and some say you can't wheelie shafties

)

Howard Q made me think. I've ridden a mates GS1200 and you need to rember that on the Falco that there are many more revs to be had, so explore the rev limiter (ignore the red flashing light and hit the limiter) to get a feel for grunt right through the range.
