Shutgun Hanger and bracket...

#1 Post by GregD-UK » Sun Jun 12, 2011 4:56 pm

Hi all,

OK, been trawling the internet for a shotgun bracket, as I ain't paying over £200 for a new one from aprilia :smt009 Anywho, I don't know if the SP bracket is the same diameter as my TwoBrothers M2 cans :smt017

Arrow did a shotgun set-up and a couple of others, but, I have been told on the web that now only the jap's make them. They don't send international, so that's a bummer...

Anyone on here know of a place/company that could help me finish my set-up, pwetty pweasz :smt002

I expect Will could make something for you if you tell him what you need

Hi all,

Cheers men :smt023 I have a cunning plan (I think) simply buy two brackets and weld two together. Cheap option methinks :smt003 Will be mounting the cans 10mm apart anywho...

Do you have a picture or drawing of what it is you're after? If it's a simple plate, then I'll be able to knock something up on the waterjet easy enough. Let's have a look.. Gimme an idea. :smt001

Hi all,

OK Will, I don't have a picture as such, seen something on the RSV Zone site, under "Items wanted." There's a guy on there who has damaged his double bracket :smt009 He's looking for a replacement.

Will try and paste it....

Slightly ironic that the 'lady' in the lower image is sporting an 'over-under' type shotgun..lol.. :smt003

Shotgun Exhaust

#11 Post by GregD-UK » Wed Jun 15, 2011 10:47 pm

Hi all,

OK, first stage completed. As you can see, I have got the mille med-section to link to the falco front header pipe. Saves changing the oil tank, redo pipework etc (Unecessary cost, time, and effort!).

Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Shotgun link pipe will be done hopefully by friday :smt004 Then, simply apply said TwoBrothers Stubby M2 Carbon Cans. Get refuelled map and watch out neighbours :smt020

Looks good Greg.

A nice solution to adapt the mid section to keep the Falco oil tank. Just a question .... that front balance pipe does clear the oil tank too, doesn't it?

/nod andy - that is going to be mighty close.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Finkering...

#14 Post by GregD-UK » Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:39 am

Hi all,

Yes DR, it clears the oil reservoir no probs :smt002 On the bike as we speak. Pity I have the mille heavy bazooka can on there. It definately pulls smoother, lower down and guess my fuelling with the SL Carbon Cans was out, as below 3,000 revs it's even smoother. Can feel the difference :smt003

Let you know when the link pipe is done. Now I know how too post pictures thanks to DR :smt003
