You can change any other Falco ..... but to tinker with F9's masterpiece?!?!
Surely not?Falco9 wrote:I feel weak!!!

Anyway whats wrong with changing stuff, its not as if I'd take the bike apart and start again, its lovely like it is, but we all want to personalise them a bit.

Only kidding M8, Once she's yours, she's yours, you can do whatever you want. I'm actually looking forward to what you might do. I liked the Blackbird a lot, so what this space eh?Surely not?Falco9 wrote:I feel weak!!!

Ah I thought you'd say that, just a small question and we can talk about it next week, I rather fancy twin 'xausts and if you look at pics of my old 'bird close up to the rear panel, does the present setup lend itself to that?Falco9 wrote:Only kidding M8, Once she's yours, she's yours, you can do whatever you want. As to why I like twins, well it makes the bike look mean from behind (poxy cage drivers) and the higher they are the more noise they make (nearer the lugholes)

OMG Rich, what have you done ..... you've got to slap a preservation order on the key features of the things that make your falco what it is .... or just go and find an 'ordinary' Falco for Gio to put his stamp on.Gio wrote:

..... well I would do if I didn't already have one waiting to fit!Falcopops wrote:

I guess it will now be up to me to carry the mantle of what Rich started but with a bit more of a Bronze flavour .... still, I guess the concept was due an upgrade ....

There again, if Gio is scrapping the single pipe, I'll get my claim in for the Mille oil cooler - not got one of those yet.

No, that's not true Gio.Gio wrote:

Now firstly, I presume you're talking exhausts here ................
My reasons for the single exhaust mod.
- * I'd seen a picture of Rich's bike and liked it so much that I wanted to do the single-pipe conversion.
* I wanted an aftermarket exhaust and concluded it would be cheaper to buy ONE can plus some second-hand Mille bits than Two cans. I may or may not have been right.
* I like a challenge ..... this is more of a challenge than I hoped as when I started out on this scheme - I hadn't realised that the skidmarx bellypan would complicate matters so much.
* Compared to the standard exhausts, I should save some serious weight .... all without me having to diet
That's my excuse - if it's not enough, I'll get a note from my mum.
I agree it looks lovely with the single, but I prefer twin exhausts, always have done and its not just the noise (ref Bigun). As for changing anything else well I think I might fit a set of heated grips and that'd be it, don't want to change anything else as it looks so goodD-Rider wrote:No, that's not true Gio.Gio wrote:

My reasons for the single exhaust mod. Before this I had my heart set on a set of hi-mount Renegades but they were a bit unobtainably expensive. So it's not that I don't like twin exhausts - I've just decided to go the single pipe route - it's that bit different and with you defiling Rich's bike, will be that bit more unique.
