Marches Meet 2012 - 25-27 May

#1 Post by MartDude » Sun May 22, 2011 4:38 pm

Especially for Andy - an Announcement

As everyone agreed that the venue was acceptable, we'll be running this one next year, same place, either the weekend before or the weekend after Spring Bank Holiday, i.e. 25-27 May or 7-10 June. My preference is for 25-27 May, as the later date, I think, is more likely to coincide with other bike-related events.

Can I make a bid for the later of the two dates? Normally we will be in France for the earlier date.

Although seeing as we missed this one, I can understand if people take no notice...

It was great fun and I'm really glad I went even though the trike didn't! Thanks to Mart and Jill for all the shopping and running around, also to Hanna for the BBQ run - and it takes more than a drop of rain to stop a lot of bikers enjoying their evening!

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I hope to be there even if in the car again, the earlier date is slightly better for me.

I've provisionally booked the campsite for the previous weekend - 25th. - 27th. May.

For those who got confused about this year's meet, it is the Marches Meet in MAY. Not in March
