Shame they didn't do the same for Coventry ......

Still not going to help much these days as anyone who wants to will have already archived their Google maps satellite views.

And the fact that gps systems will hit a co-ordinate no matter what.

..... errr ..... you really think the unencrypted non-military services will be left running as they are were we to enter times of serious conflict ......

:smt017 :smt021

(that is unless the military run short of their devices again and have to use the commercial stuff .... though can't see that happening now ....)

Sorry, but we must not let the accuracy of GPS interfere with the excellent idea of covering up most of Coventry. :smt003

Who mentioned anything about commercial services? if they had the correct co-ordinates, and were in range, it wouldnt be impossible. Especially if the said power had access to sattelites.

Lets hope the yanks never do it - they would end up blowing the white house off the face of the earth.....by accident of corse...

The first Vulcan I ever saw close up was at Finningley many years ago, and I can still remember it vividly, (especially the take off), it just seems so fitting that the last one still flying should be back there.

Took this at a small airshow in Abingdon today...

Don't remeber seeing one in flight before (not really my era) but well worth the wait. Still raises a laugh every time they open the throttles and set off all of the car alarms :smt003 [/img]

I've been up in a vulcan. Won a competition as a lad in the air cadets, ooh, 30+ years ago. It was noisy.
