Turns out i have another running problem. The TPS was out and Griff adjusted that but it didn't make the bike run any better. In fact, he was pretty perplexed by it. Still, this is Griff we're talking about, so even if he says he doesn't know, he's always got a hunch to go on. He suspects it could be something sheared on the flywheel, having seen a similar problem last week albeit the other way round. Fingers crossed it is the flywheel and its an easy fix.
As always, i can't praise Griff enough for his passion for the bikes, expertise and friendliness. Total legend.

Ok, Griff rang me and told me he's identified the problem. It turns out the fuel pump has failed in some way. This has put a stop to getting it serviced for the immediate future.
I hate to mention it on the forum but i've lost my home and it's pretty much ruined everything at the minute. I can afford to either repair the bike and have transort or pay for somewhere to live. Pretty racked off.

Thank you very much. Will just rang me to let me know that you'd all replied on the sight. I've bought a fuel pump off of ebay already, its not going to be here for 7 days though. If you're happy to send one out to Griff, I can send you the one i've bought when it arrives so you've still got a spare, it'd save my life if i can get one sooner rather than later. You really are a hero, thank you so much.
The whole situation has come as a huge shock and it's really left me and Steph up the creek. We're pretty surprised and a little distraught. I feel like shit.
Again thank you so much for the support.

Doh - only just seen this. I've a spare tank with fuel pump (though untested) .... That said, I'm guessing Pete will solve this quickest as I would need to pull the pump out of the tank first - and I can't do that tonight.
If stuck though, let me know.

Mine is also untested
I will post it - sell on which ever one you don't need - and use the spare bit of cash to have a bit of a giggle or what ever is useful
And no, you don't pay any bloody money - you did not ask for anything, but it's nice too help a chap out ESPECIALLY when life has been a bit shitty
It's called karma - I always was a culture club fan ;)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
Thanks so much! I can't pick the bike up till Friday when i get paid as it stands but i've had the fuel pump out of mine before so it's doable to replace it myself if i can't afford to get it done at Griff's. I've had to put a hold on the service though oil and filter has already been done, i've got an air filter so i might finish the service myself aswell. Well apart from valve clearances because i havn't got the foggiest on how to do those.

Ok final update on this, got the bike back today and it seems a lot smoother. In the end, swapping the fuel pump over did indeed fix the problem. However, it turns out the fuel pump wasn't the cause. In my other thread about a fuel leak a few months ago i mentioned i had the pump out, cleaned it and refitted it with teh help of Evoboy off of Covbikers. I'll take the blame for it, but it seems one of us twisted the fuel pipe when we refitted it, this has caused the lack of power as it was underfuelling on full chat. Griff replaced the fuel line for nothing (bless him) so Mr Aladinsaneuk will be getting his pump back on Friday next week i believe when i hear you're booked in yourself. I'm going to pop in myself to say hello and thank you in person for the support and the help you gave me. I really do appreciate it, i've been a right state and even though i didn't need the pump i nhte end, it was a bolster to the morale for stepping in there for me. Griff has mentioned that you're a mercilous wind up merchant so ive been prepared, do your worst!
As per usual, Griff did a stirling job and i'm glad to get the thing back on the road again.
