It was a nice bike Gio, I have never been particularly attracted to them, but then again, I've never ridden one, so who am I to comment. It was your bike and you loved it, (and paid a lot for it!). Anyway for an "ugly" bike, an awful lot of people with a lot of bike experience rate them very highly, not just the wannabe Ewans. Don't think I've seen anything other than excellent review in any bike mag, and I know they go well cos I've tried shaking a few off and it ain't easy!
Hope you get it sorted quickly with a decent valuation, just stick to your guns mate and don't let the insurance company fob you off.
I assume you're planning to get the same again, if it all goes OK?

Ummmm, no :smt005

I'm buying Falco9's bike, as for why, well it looks really nice, plus I miss my blackbird (sold last October).

I've also decided I need to ride lots of different bikes, before I become a cripple, so over the next few years I'm going to try a few, then I'll go back to BM when I can't stand the thrill :smt001 .

I rode a Falco about 3 years ago, it was for sale at a Honda dealers :smt017 but it was black and I don't do black, plus I was put off by the history of Aprilia and its mille engine.

Are you serious?
It's a really nice bike! :smt004
What do you mean you don't like BLACK Falcos? :smt013
We were doin really well up to there.
Anyway with the money you should get back on the insurance you could buy a Falco and a Blackbird!
Was set on buying a Blackbird before I got the Falco, but got a really nice Falco at a silly price, so kept my old CBR1000F as a winter bike, so I got close to having a Blackbird and a Falco I suppose.
Still like the old Honda, but then get back on the Falco and it makes the Honda and other previous Hondas I've had (VFR, CBR6, CB750 etc.) all seem pretty bland.

Allegedly the Black ones are slowest.

But I guess a Falco bike review will soon prove that wrong. :smt003 :smt002

Unless Gio gets there first...

Now thats lovely (sorry to the rest) Black deffo is the best (in acknowledgement to Kwack) non colour for a Falco.
I do get a bit confused tho Gio, I assume you like Falcos in black, but wouldn't like to own one. :smt017 :smt017 :smt017
I used to have a thing about not buying a black bike, as car drivers might not notice it as easily as a brighter coloured one, but loved the look, so went for it. It's so much more subtle than the multicoloured Jap bikes.
(I can talk from experience, my old CBR is Purple, pinkish red and black !!).
The other thing with the early black ones is the silver frame, which really stands out against the black from the side view, and it looks good. :smt004
Oh and by the way Kwacks, it's the black ones that are fast!

Mmmm maybe I said it wrong, by black I mean I don't not like them, just that its not the colour that does anything for me, there's a lot of black bikes down here and they always IMO good the worst, ie owners don't clean 'em.

What I like is blue and white bikes, yellow and then just blue, they look so much more distinctive :smt003

I like bikes tho regardless of colour or make, yeah even Harleys :smt005

There, have I dug a deep enough hole? :smt002

You'll never fit on a Falco, I don;t think they're designed for 18 footers.

Still, a fine choice my man.

The thing with black is that it's the very devil to keep looking clean. I have to spend 4 times the effort on the Falco (it's black) than on the Bandit (it's silver). It's really quite annoying when, after a long washing / polishing session, you ride up the road and out of nowhere water drops appear all over the tank only to dry leaving white smears.

.........and I am not really a buffing saddo.......honest :smt009

Don't buy a black one !

well, not until I sell mine anyway :smt003
