Just heard from him on eBay:
There has been some feedback from customers reference the last batch of sidestands that were sent out in January which I have recalled. The workshop didn't configure their CNC machine properly & the stands were sub standard i.e. didn't fit properly.
Therefore the stands will be delayedby a couple of weeks to ensure they are fit for purpose. My humble apologies but the stands have to be right. Knd
Regards.

mmmm interesting, mine fits to the bike ok and ive had my mouning plate bent in order to improve the angle but the base of the stand is not flush with the ground.
Its fine and the bike holds ok, was thinking of adding a bubber bung to the base to improve things...

The one I ordered in Feb arrived yesterday...
Seems solid, finish was passable and would have fit straight on if it wasn't for the big gob of weld on my stand stop stopping it folding down enough. I'm assuming big gobs of weld on stand brackets and banana shaped stands aren't standard fittings.

Bubseywoo stand is fine. Everything lined up and was tapped properly. More solid and tucks away better. Lean angle about the same as badly modded stand.Aladinsaneuk wrote:send it back, demand a refund
order the fireblade stand from a honda stealer - 2005 model iirc
guy is proveing to be a tosser
Dubious mods were by previous owner to kit the bike came with. Original stand was bent forward and outwards. Stand stop on bracket was welded to stop the now too bent stand folding too far forwards. I've ground it back to the original profile. Might take it back a bit further yet.

To clarify
The early bubseywoo stands are fine - one of the bikes I look after has one fitted
BUT
From summer? 2010 the quality has gone - lots of reported problems from many reliable sources
The ones from September last year are, it would seem, a crock of shit

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

The fork at the top of the Buzbypoo stand on the spare Falco had open out giving lots of play, but that was due to a lack of fettling from a previous owner, some welds needed grinding back for it to retract fully, but whoever had fitted the stand had just left the pivot bolt loose instead!
