Seen as i'm having to look for a new job at the moment so may well be commuting at some point in the near future, the Falco is definitely the preference.
There's the "black" one up north and there's a metallic red/black one near Churtsey at ARJ motorcycles here, for all but £2800.
Waiting for the pics for the latter but hopefully getting or the other end of the week.
Can't wait to get back on the road, having to cycle everywhere at the moment, loads of fun in the rain.
Smiffy

cheers Aladinsane, i did read through the headlight sticky and it is on the list of things to look for. Did e-mail the shop with the Olympic bronze one, (i was just too lazy to type it before Nob) asking about the standard pipes, seat cowl, service history and chip but they haven't replied.
Mind you i also got in touch with the other place to ask about the price of delivery and if they had any pictures but they haven't replied to that either.
Do these people not want to sell me a bike or what.

one cheque for £2800 sat in my grubby little mits waiting to spent on an Aprilia. All i need now is to get hold of someone who gives a shit about selling a bike they are advertising.
Phoned the shop in Bradford earlier, spoke to a guy who said he'd phone me back with answers to my questions, did he phone back, did he hell. I did get him to check the headlight and it is a European one, it does come with standard pipes he thinks and as for the ECU and service history, he has no idea.
I have just been on BikeTrader and that Falco is no longer registered.
Guess i'll have to keep looking. Might have to go back to including the Tuono in my searches.

The one at Kawasaki Autorama is still for sale according to their website:
http://www.kawasaki-autorama.com/kawasaki-Locator.aspx
Looks tidy but the price is a bit strong.

Ask him will he mot it for the full 1800.
Always be prepared for sponteneity.

That's the one I was looking at but really wanted something with lower mileage. Got caught on that one with my Z1000, cheap price but higher mileage and it came back to bite me in the ass.Nob wrote:I've seen them and I'd go for the red one in St Helens. Don't worry too much about the mileage of Falco's, mine's done 30,000 miles and is still as tight as it was a 3000. Many owners have done twice that and are still going strong.

25k miles.. Barely run in! You're talking quality Rotax engines here dude.. Not some Japanese shyte made by Cadburys..
If I was buying again, i'd be keeping a close eye on that little gem. Going for the auction listings rather than the 'Buy It Now' option is better too, as it'll give you an idea of what people are prepared to pay for them, not just what the d£alers want for them.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
