ScottOiler problem!!

#1 Post by gempip » Sun Mar 11, 2007 10:19 pm

I dont know what is the matter with my S/Oiler, I let it run out of oil, silly me, and now having refilled it even though putting it on to prime and running the engine it initally started to run I still arnt getting no full flow, I have checked to see that all pipes are connected as far as I can (VFR Bodywork ect ect) and in one part there is a gap (air!) in the flow pipe not far from the oiler itself, so ?????? any ideas, somebody said I will have to go on a fair run to pull it through!!! maybe? Its been on the bike a fair while. What think you :smt017

You need to manually prime the system.

Set it on prime as you have done, then connect the oil bottle to the the little breather connector and squeeze hard until the delivery tube is clear of any air bubbles. That should do it.
