I am sure I have an unused, unopened Evoluzione tail tidy kit in the garage somewhere. What is that worth to someone? Either here or Ebay, provided I can locate it.....

Reviving this thread, as I finally got round to digging out the Evoluzione tail tidy I bought ages ago with a view to fitting it. Once I'd got the thing out of the box, I was overcome with an underwhelming feeling of 'is that it?"

In particular, any number plate mounted to that bracket would surely flex and break off after not many miles. Wouldn't it?

So, Monsieur le Willopotomas, how's this stainless proper-job tail tidy coming along? Apart from the lack of indicator-fixing points, what you've give us a diagram of looks ideal. And, as one who has recently purchased some Shiver/RSV4 indicators, I'd appreciate it if there was sufficient 'meat' around any indicator fixings to permit 10mm indicator mounting points, instead of standard Falco 8mm mounting points.

So - bumpety - bump - bump - bump...

The beauty of the Falco is so many people carry out so many different modifications to their bikes that can have an effect on how to mount the number plate and indicators. My Falco has high level pipes with a diddy number plate and tiny indicators (so small and obscured from view you can't see them!), which makes the space available very light. Andy still uses the standard bracket to which the one i've drawn up will bolt to, as it's all I had to go off at the time.

Bit of a mine field this one. The ideal thing to do would be to make a variety of plates up to suit different styles. Unless we can all come up with a collective idea that will be an almost 'generic' fit.

I'm open to opinion. Copy the picture and draw bits on/take things off with a rough idea of where things need to be.

Bugger. The bike's in Stafford and I'm in Sheffield, which means that scope for measuring is a little limited. However if the drawing shows a 'standard' fitment, that should suit me. But where do the indies fit on that drawing?

Shouldn't there be a bit at each side at 90 degrees to the main piece with two holes (one larger, one smaller) in it to mount the indicators on?

No provision was made for indicators. This is the first draft.. Many more to go before we come up with something usable. :smt001

forgive the obvious

but b and q sell some cheap right angle brackets..... fit them to where the number plate mounts - end of problem

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

They've not let me back in there since that chap dressed in orange asked me if I wanted decking and I surprised him by getting in the first punch ....

Hein Gericke now sells the exact same tailtidy as on German Ebay. Saw it in store today - £34.99. About £2 more expensive than the one of ebay.

Mine was made for me by a friendly metalsmith and is a piece of sheet metal with 4 bends in it.

I will take a few measurements and then when I can work out how to I will try and make up a drawing and post it on here.

Just for info I used the Evoluzione tail tidy for the 3 or 4 years I had my Falco and will say that it was a very impressive bit of kit. OK there's not much to it but in my view that's the whole point of a tail tidy. It was more than up to holding my 5x7 plate and tuono style indies and is still working fine for it's new owner.

OK it's a bit pricey for what it is but if you've already bought it.....
