Andy.. Ye on. Also, "GIZ A GO ON YER BIKE MISTAH!!"

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I've drawn the first one straight from the sketch above. The hole centres are all a guess as they were not stipulated.
And this is "Option 2". To make it final, i'll need to know the internal diameter (ID) of the mounting holes and also the centres in relation to the bracket, and themselves. Would also be a help to know the centres for the tail light mounting holes and the number plate mounting holes.
Option 2 would be the better one to go for and could be made out of 1.5mm - 2mm stainless for strength. The weight difference between stainless and mild on a part this size would be small. I personally don't think aluminium would be an option, unless it's at least 4mm - 5mm thick.
Let me know which one to finish up and i'll get a price. Part can be modified to include indicator ears or be made wider if needed.

Dropped my spare numberplate bracket over with Will today - this will allow him to sort out the mounting hole centres/positions so that his tail tidies will just be a quick bolt-on.
Hopefully we'll have a nice, convenient solution before long.
I've seen some of the bits that Will's made for classic Triumphs - so I'm really looking forward to these becoming available.

Well, due to the massive lack of interest the project has been put on hold. No reason why it can't be resurrected though.. Also, now i've got me own Falco, it'll be easier to eye up and make alterations rather than having to go an vist it Andy every other night.

Ages ago when I turned my attention to modifying GSX-R side stands..lol. And yes, your spare bracket is still at work gathering dust. Now winters with us i'll get back on the CAD an knock something up. It's kin' cold in that machine shop!

Went down the DIY route with some corner metal stuff from B&Q, Aladinsaneuk has a good link for numberplate lights that also screw the plate to the holder, then a bit of fettling...

that was very similar to what I did for hanna's machine :)
(I think it cost about 49 pence.....)
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Count me in for one if this comes to fruition, Will.
