Wary as one may be of counting chickens you are owed an update.
It appears all those prayers have been answered and Becky has turned the corner, almost as suddenly as she originally went down.
In a couple of days she has got rid of all those tubes and is eating and drinking again. She has even made a couple of escape committee recce's around the hospital corridors with the aid of a zimmer with a physioterrorist in close attendance.
She should be moved from ICU to an intermediate ward in the next few hours and there is talk of her being home maybe within a fortnight.
That said there has been no positive identification of the cause of her illness and she will have to return to the hospital renal unit at some stage.
All in all much good news.

Like Sam has said, Boo has been going great guns at getting the hell outta Dodge. There's been a couple of little wobbles along the way but the last week has been up and down like a yo yo. Ive been updating her Fb wall, but have avoided posting too much elsewhere as every time I do something else seems to come up.
She's not moved tonight (as they want her to rest) but has been on another confirmatory recce of her escape route in readiness for moving to IDU tomorrow.
Today was a bit hectic. She started off by having the T'ostomy tube out, then had a stand up after brekky (eating and drinking well) but didnt walk at that time as she started having a bad coughing episode. That settled but there was enough shite on her chest (technical term) to render her a bit knackered out and in need of a day's full recouperation.. We decided therefore that Today she would stay in and tidy her room (metophorically speaking?) with tidying meaning clearing her chest of the phlegm and stuff.
Typical teenager, she rushed thru tidying her room and was out by 9pm scooting round the ward on her zimmerframe like Rossi on a celebration lap... Ive given up telling her to slow down and am letting her crack on at her own pace.
The nurses and doctors are so so impressed with her sheer bloodymindedness, guts and determination . Me? Im just so proud of her.
Renal Specialist type gadgey popped in earlier and said there was something slightly amiss in the kidney department, but theyre genuinely not worried about it too much and they'd deal with it after she's finished fighting the stuff she's dealing with at the moment.
there's always a certain reservedness in the back of my mind, but methinks Boo's saga could be on it's last week or two. The Docs and specialists/ consultants all think so.

Hopefully it will prove something 'normal' as far as kidney problems go, however as with everything she's been doing and the illness as we know it so far, things have been far from normal.
I still take things hour to hour at the moment, but slowly im getting used to the idea that I can sleep with both eyes closed and without having to listen out for the phone ringing.
Bless her, Katie (her favourite Nurse) was so pleased with Becky being off the Tube today, She was more excited than we were I think!! Boo has had some really awesome nursing staff. A good half have been of foreign origin too.. doesnt matter.. theyve all been absolutely brilliant.

Boo has settled in in the intermediate care, she's eating, drinking fine, her antibiotics are sorting out the remaining gunk well, She went for another walk earlier. Much faster and more confident. Her strength is returning nicely. She's been allowed to covertly use her phone so she can contact her friends, so she is happy with that!
Mum and Dad are definately a lot happier than theyve been in weeks, the end is looming up over the horizon. Just the renal stuff to be sorted really.
