Hi beam bulb

This may sound silly but thought i'd ask anyway!!

I like the look of the Falco with the high beam lights on, but obviously you're going to blind everyone so is it feasable/practical to place lower wattage bulbs in there and use them as daylight running lights for the purpose of being seen but not blinding people

I don't ride in the dark or tour, i know there are practical downsides but from an asthetical point of view wondered if it was worthwhile trying?

No, not really - is not only the bulb power but where the beam is directed....

Get yourself some H1 LED bulbs. They will light up the headlamps but wont (cant) project any sort of beam.

Got meself a T10 base 9 LED bulb as a side light and that's powerful and bright enough to have just as a running light by itself

IIRC the Falco's main bulbs are all H7's. Unless you've got a cunning plan?

You're right, H7's it is. Getting confused with fitting HID's to me Fazer work hack

Funny that i was just looking at these, then started to look into SMD LEDs v LEDs and which was brightest etc

is it easy enough to solder/connect a couple of wires to a T10 bulb and wire it into the rear lighting curcuit on my homemade rear light project??

If you're steady with a fine tipped iron then yes but mechanically, it wont be very strong

From the pics i've seen on ebay there's a small wire on the outside of the plastic, i could solder to this and then wrap insulation tape around it to strengthen the bond??? I'm only being finicky because i'm about to order some on Ebay so appreciate the feedback

Correct. The base is like the old filament flash bulbs (showing me age

That will give it some strength but how you going to stop it rattling around the rear light

He he...i have a cunning plan! Just drill a hole feed the bulb through and glue gun at the rear, going to fit one either side of the cluster and connect to the brake curcuit
