Did that whilst standing next to a copper after being pulled over for having no brakelights (Both had blown, i know, i should have checked, lol) was decent copper though anyway. Needless to say, I felt like a bit of a twat. Also had an interesting moment when i took my bosses BMW R1200RT out with those stange indicator set-up on both handlebars

Everyone with the later switch gear does it.

After a while you stop beeping when you're trying to indicate .... but then you can never find the horn when someone cuts you up - as a result I tend to flash them (headlights, not dirty mac)

I just gave up trying.. People behind are waaaaaaaay behind by the time the need arises, and if there's people in front I use hand signals, cuz it's what im used to..

I find this very strange.
I had three Hondas before the Falco and never had a problem with the horn and indicator.
I kept a Honda for six years and used it quite regularly with the Falco and never had a problem.
I've had the 9R for the last 10 months and alternated with the Falco and never had a problem.
What's up with you lot?
Haven't you heard of dexterity.
I'm the old bugger who should be the one who finds this difficult.

It's just a slightly different bike, so you do things differently!

errrr ..... Howard ...... as you keep reminding us, you've one of those ancient, dog-slow, black Falcos with the old style switchgear. Those don't have the "upgraded" comedy button arrangement

I just shout lots inside my helmet and wave my arms about a lot. To be honest it probably just looks to them like I'm giving the Secret Special Signal a la Team America but it makes me feel better anyway

I agree that the later ones are worse but original versions are still not exactly "standard".
Anyway, it briefly gave me the chance to feel old but superior, rather than old and knackered!
You'll understand better in a few years.

Got the bike back from the garage today after a week of hunting down injector parts and it is sublime. Definitely alot more punch now with two cylinders working:) The switch gear hasn't been a problem, as it is set up the same ways as the GS I was learning on. Can't believe the difference a good bleed of the clutch makes, it is nice and light now. Haven't had any problems selecting gear, even neutral so happy with everything. Will take it out tomorrow for a good sesh just so I can enjoy it:)

Clive and Keith at Tri County were a bit snowed under on Saturday (understatement) but after a bit of scrounging around I managed to get an injector and they had the bike up and running before they finished for the day. Can't praise them enough for their work, and they did an outstanding job on the bike.

I have only been around for a couple of weeks, as I only did my Mod 2 a couple of weeks ago.
