This is the current Falco (with standard cans for the MOT) I'm using for racing - in the road legal and 1300cc classes. The nose-cone and lights have been changed for Falco items since this pic was taken - but you get the idea.

One question though, could you not run a smaller oil tank ?

Yep, will be running with a Mille oil tank with less oil in it. The tank alone is 1kg lighter!

I should change that bloody great fuel tank for one off a lawn mower.

The fuel tank isn't so heavy - I remember weighing it at 8kg including pump and fittings. But that is on the to do list. A nice, neat aluminium jobbie that only holds a couple of litres. Trouble is, still need something to cover up the throttle bodies/filter arrangement. That might come from a fireblade dummy tank cover.

Then again, I might dig the insides out of the falco tank so it becomes a cover...

just so happens i have a spare falco tank - needs a respray tbn, but is intact that could be liberated off me for a score..... could even take it away with you this week end......

..... you could always offer to drill it to reduce the weight a bit ....

Is drilling of the tyres an effective weight saving too?

Fill them with helium .... if it doesn't work you can always breath the stuff in afterwards and give us all a good laugh talking in a squeeky voice ....
