Right. Just been and looked at my bike.
I've also got a shock of a 2000 RSVR I fitted a while back

It's got 1093 54/140 359 on the spring
And AP 8230 stamped on the top of the shock

When I bought it, I also bought the linkages and dog bone that came with it. Just checked them against my old falco linkages and dog bone. And I can confirm they both are EXACTLY THE SAME

Excellent - you both have 140Nm springs which will work with the Falco linkage.
It's those (more common ones) with the 95Nm springs that need the mille linkages.

Linkage means: Triangles as well as dogbone.

Mille or Falco Swingarm doesn't matter.

Super dooper. Cheers DR, that's what I was thought it was, but was never 100% certain.
Although I do need to go get my shock played with. It's still shooting me out of the seat occasionally on bumpy roads. I put it down to just being a light weight

Mind you, its soooooo much better than that blue thing that was on there

So Falconihlist, get that ohlins on there ASAP!! lol

Yes, the Ohlins is in another (far more advanced) galaxy compared to the Sachs blue spring shock!

However I found that the 140 N/mm (800 lb/in) spring rate was still too firm for my liking. Even with the missus on the back it was too firm. So I took the plunge and ordered a softer spring (700 lb/in - 122.8 N/mm) and that was much better. Solo it was nice and taut, but I wasn't getting kicked out of the seat, two-up it was nice and plush.

I ran this past John at Revs Racing and he told me that this was very close to Ohlins recommendation for the Falco-specific Ohlins shock.

Klasse:) That would be a big bonus. I'm looking forward to doing some stripping and reassembling over the next few weeks. Went for another lesson yesterday on a Suzi 500 and it felt like I was strangling a chicken to get up to speed on the back roads compared to the Falco.

Think I am going to have to get a wrist lock before I lose my licence

I can't remember who's bike it was, but I saw a single side exhaust kit, looked awesome, but does anyone know of a company that can do twin underseat setups?

the under seat exhausts are not exactly common...

am certain greybeard will be along shortly with correct advice

Just had a look on their site, looks like I will have to wait till the 13th to get in touch with them as they are on a holiday at the moment.

Just ordered a set of Renthal sprockets and chain, so it looks like I will be devoting a day to getting the back end sorted.

Once I have an idea for the exhaust, then I can get round to doing the tail tidy. I now have a vague plan as how I want the bike to look, just have to work out how to use the demon photoshop and start doing some renderings!

that's a Fuel can on there (at the moment) BTW.

The only company that I can think of that did a proper underseat kit was Renegade - but I've never seen one.

If you get a company to make them for you, expect a very light wallet at the end.

I do like the high mount look, but I would like to actually get smaller cans and get them right underneath the tail, if I can work around the rear wheel travel. I will have to have a good look and see what the prohibitive parts will be. If not, then it will have to be high mounts, as I won't be carrying anyone pillion anyways.

I might be wrong but I thought they were the Rene Hi-mounts not the under seats.
I believe they had both on their price-list and were not the same.

Tweaker had some too - but I think they were Hi-mounts (though, again, could be wrong)

i have just been looking through my assorted renegade images - some men look at porn - I look at exhausts.... anyway, I have not got any image of full underseat renegades... they may have been on the price list but were any made or sold?

Take out and relocate rear light and relays etc, and have a custom end can made up to fit the hole under the pillion seat. Kinda ducati 749/999 style. Use current link pipes and have them routed up similar to high mounts. May not be that much of a head ache to do. Seen a falco on youtube with this set up. Think it looks pretty cool, have a look:
