Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
Many thanks, Pete. I needed a justification for buying a Dremel.

Buggery buggery double bollocks cubed!!
I was just having a look, in preparation, and discovered the lid of my spare Mille airbox (originally bought just for its snorkel) is the wrong bleeding one! seems it's off an '02 model, whereas I need one from a Fut, a Falco, or a '98 - '01 Mille/RSV.
F**k f**k f**k f**k f**k.
Ok, not really a big deal, just a bit of an anti-climax.
Does anyone happen to have a spare airbox lid hanging about, please?

I've a Mille one - the lid is slightly different to Falcos and is just too tall to fit under the Falco tank .... though if you are cutting the lid it may be fine ...
The base is the same part as the Falcos.
That one is surplus to my requirements.
I also have a spare Falco airbox but the bottom has a hole in it and I want the top as the basis for the airbox design that I've got planned .... so, sorry that's not for sale.

Andy - which year Mille? I'm planning on doing the mod as per The Gr33k's version, keeping part of the lid to hold the filter down. Part numbers for lids for Futs, Falcos, & early Milles is the same. If your Mille lid is the same height over the filter as a Falco one, it shpuld be OK for my needs.

Not sure what year mille it came from .... ebay purchase before I realised the tops were different to the Falco's.
Here are some pictures:
lids back to back (Falco on top - raised bit is the section over the TBs)

Falco in foreground, Mille to the rear (as it should be)

Falco on left Mille on right

Falco on left Mille on right

They are both of the same capacity - I filled both with water to find out.

You know me Andy Mr 'I want every mod going and now!'
Trying to be patient like you've always said and take my time etc, i think the whole airbox mod and options is one best explained faced to face and like you''ve said in the past creating something with the benefits of the Ren and the Evo.
When i first came on the site i couldn't even face doing a tail tidy!! Now thanks to everyone i'm getting more confident and doing my own mods and stuff, who knows maybe even attempt one of these things but with some assistance...again though one for the future as i've only just bought the K&N filter
I'm sure we'll catch up at one point

Andy, I think I need the taller one. But it's very late, and I've just spent the evening being the oldest bloke in the pub and proving I'm more metal than the 19-year old Viking metal kids who've invaded my local. So I'll respond more constructively tomorrow. Thanks for posting the pics.
