Good to be on a Fut today

#1 Post by MartDude » Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:06 pm

Had a nice bimble to Hein Gericke in Cheltenham today. Could have gone to the nearer branch in Dudley, but it's a nicer route to Cheltenham, especially the route I took - what could have been an 85 mile round trip became a 135-mile meander.

Anyway, heading in to Cheltenham I stopped to check my bearings. A R1200RT rider, parked opposite, ran across the road to tell me it was only the 2nd. Fut he'd ever seen, then spent ten minutes raving about how good Aprilias, & Rotax engines, were, he'd had a Falco but it was too 'twitchy' (?) for him tho' he loved it, etc etc.

On to Hein Gericke, where the assistant went through almost the same routine - only seen 2 other Futs there (one of which was mine, last year), raving about the styling, Rotax, etc etc.

Very gratifying.

what kind of special??

the kind of special that waves a bell and says "unclean, unclean"

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Or the kind of special where you get given a box of crayons when the rest of the kids in your class are doing algebra?
