Isn't there a weight saving if you need an excuse? :smt083
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I walk around with what I consider to be a well shaped and large penis under my clothes - i don't get it out and wave it at folk to show how bling tastic it is - but i do get an awfully good feeling knowing it is there

locked away in the dark

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I meant why spend the extra on carbon, when he does the same product in equally serviceable, but cheaper, materials?

Maybe - but what about the one that's actually attached to your body?

Late to the party but I have the sealy-type and the open-type (homemade)

Cant tell the difference in performance but you can hear the exhausts with the seal-ringy-thing but the open airbox is so rooARTY its quite rude.
I have some crap footage from rockingham somewhere (when my brakes stopped braking) but the sound is all airbox SNORT . I'll see if I can find it

Have you noticed any difference to engine temperature with the open airbox, Pierre? Particularly at lower speeds, e.g. urban riding?

Have heard a few people talking about the Hooked airbox now since reading this thread. If it performs like the Renegade airkit then it's worth having, I was blessed with an extra fat dollop of mid-range and a very pleasing induction noise after fitting mine. No difference in the running other than that.
