i did send you a text andy, but no reply - you changed your number?

did you want my spare set of 51 throttle bodies? then you can send them off to be done while still riding your bike....

if so let me know in next couple of hours - will put them in my tank bag for you for saturday afternoon

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

ah - just spotted the text!

Cheers Pete for the offer but don't bother at present - I haven't made up my mind one way or the other and I'll need to see what it does to insurance before deciding. I think they currently class all my mods as not performance-related and bigger TBs are unlikely to fall into that category.

.... looking like a warm weekend though ...........

My only problem is i had a chip from Gabro for the 54's and to be honest it's not the best .....between 3500-5000 it's crap, almost mis-firing BUT after that it's awesome ........Was hoping it was almost finished but looks like i may have to go the PC111 way to make this better .....not sure yet . Swinging arm on tomorrow THEN it was going to be my new gold OZ wheels but that's another story ...... :smt013

What about your fuel range Aladinsaneuk how much mileage you getting with them on .......

Thought it would drop a bit but on a run there wouldn't be much of a difference i think , would only get around 120 anyway with the 51's so it's going to be less then that..........time to fit an old 20 L rsvr tank i think !! It's OK while out having fun but not when your going somewhere with distance .

Mind you it still needs setting up so that may help as well ....... :smt003 :smt017

oh

re your gabro chip

unless he has changed things, when i spoke to him two months ago he does not, and has never made, a chip suitable for the 54mm throttle bodies - he does not have one to play with

BUT

I have had good results with my renegade +1 chip and tuono pc3 map

fuel wise, over the week end I rode with hannah and her standard 51mm bike - mpg was roughly the same, and on long hauls we were getting 140 miles before the lights were on.... i would like to point out that we were not hanging around.....

Well he's a little bugger if that's true as when i emailed him he said due to bigger throttle bodies = more air = different chip hence the reason for getting one ...
It's drinking way to much fuel and smells rich as well so it will be getting changed at some point , do have a Gabro chip which i had for the 51's and that was great so may stick that back in ....................have emailked him telling him about the problem but nothing back as of yet ,was hoping i could maybe send chip back for him to tweak !!

Time will tell , good news about mileage as well maybe they're not going to be as bad as i first thought and that this chip could be the real problem !!

Will let you know when i do .......

certainly sounds as if it is over fuelling - i would suggest going back to original chip (gabro) and see

it may well be after i spoke with him that he started to play with bigger throttle body chips - and may well have been a while ago but pretty sure it was this year

if you do have a pc3, then look around for a close map - I found a 2004 tuono with renegades all round map that fits my bike well - and will do until i get my own map
