Thanks for the comments - but it wasn't for anything really serious - 20 years of reflux (hiatus hernia), just checking it's not gone nasty. Had a similar procedure up t'other end a while back - never thought I'd hear myself say this, but given the choice, it's infinitely preferable up the a**e.
Renevator, it's the A4117, Kidderminster-Ludlow. On a clear day, you can see the Black Mountains from there. I really do feel lucky to live here, after the shitholes I grew up in and lived/worked in previously - Dewsbury, Manchester, West Bromwich, Wednesbury, Brierley Hill. I love this sort of landscape; never quite understood the appeal of the Flatlands; my sister lives between Selby and Goole - featureless, flat as a pancake, always seems damp and soggy - real Fungus the Bogeyman territory (hmm - does Fungus play the banjo?)
