My round! from a newbie looking for a falco
Hi All,
I'll get the drinks in.
yes its another newbie convinced that a Falco is the future.
I've been folowing this site for a bit doing a bit of reserch on the Falco and I'm impressed with your guys knowledge fo all things Aprilia.
I've just sold my Fazer thou so I'm in the market for a Falco sharpish, hopefully while the weathers still good.
I've taken a test ride on one at a dealers and man I loved it, pity the bike was a dog (low milage but not looked after). the clutch was pretty heavy which supprised me for a hydrolic clutch is this normal?
Cheers
Noel

Welcome to the site.
Bar is ^^^^ that way, I'll have a shandy (at work)
Yes, the clutch is heavy, can't say I've had a problem apart from when I first picked the bike up and had to drive through town as there was no petrol in! You can get replacements which are generally well regarded, MPL (usually via German Ebay), or Oberon have just started doing one. Someone did post a bit of a review of the Oberon one IIRC.

Hi and welcome - nice to have another to join us and hope you sort out a Falco soon.
If you think the clutch is heavy, then you should try Willopotomas' Triumph 6T .... that would recalibrate you
As Firestarter has said you can get aftermarket slave cylinders that reduce lever pressure by up to 30% .... though they are not cheap (though when I got mine I was very lucky on an ebay auction
)
The 3 choices tend to be:

- 1) Evolutione
2) MPL
3) Oberon

I think it's because most of us are getting on a bit!

Welcome to the forum Noel
Hope you find a Falco soon, will be intertested to hear how it compares to your previous Faser Thou, (another nice bike). Both are grouped in a similar niche but very different bikes.
Good luck with the search.

oh just wait..... we have not even shown you the good stuff - and you have not seen some of the folk's bikes.... i promise that when you see some of the mad modders work you will be reaching for the hacksaw and the credit card....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
