Seriously, I also felt that the forks were too harsh, both on spring rate and on compression damping. Unfortunately, it will certainly need a trip to a suspension fettler to address the spring rate, and probably also the compression damping as even on the softest settings I found it too hard/firm/harsh.

yeah but the problem is i dont know much about compression, rebound and spring rates etc. sure i could adjust it but i wouldnt have a clue what i was adjusting and how it should reflect riding experience!

Very basic: Turning the damping down too much makes the ride comfy but the handling becomes wallowy and and the ride gets bouncy, like a water bed. Turning the damping up too much makes the steering more precise and controlled, but makes the ride harsher and more jarring.

hmm, mine is still too hard though, has bounced me around before mid corner. not exactly the best thing to do!
