We have the same borders as NewZealnd, Austrialia and Canada. You can't get in unless you have something to offer. This apply's to every country outside the EU. If you are in the EU however, you can walk right in. Unfortunately for us most of the scrounging scum come from the EU.

I want OUT of the EU.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Bit of dinner time idealism

#34 Post by Nooj » Thu May 06, 2010 10:53 am

Get rid of ALL boarders. Without boarders there will be no illegal immigration, no smuggling, no territorial disputes and no wars over natural resources or available land.

We need to stop being English, or Pakistani, or Christian, or Muslim, or Black, or White and start being INDIVIDUALS. There is enough difference between yourself and everybody else on the planet to be your own person, don't take pride in an arbitrary place of birth, you could have been born anywhere on the planet given a handful of different events beforehand. Put aside the insecurities that lead you to clump together in paranoid tribes, you're not a bunch of chimps in the jungle. Belong to a group of one, take pride in being YOURSELF.

When you can do that, you can start to understand that we are all truly equal and all just want the same basic thing, a comfortable survival. Then work with other individuals to achieve this aim.

And thus becoming a tribe called the English, Welsh, Muslim, Pakistani etc etc.. :smt017

I'd like nothing more than to throw everything back and live off the land. Grow my own foods and build my own mud hut to live in. But it can't happen in the real world. To cultivate enough land to live off for one year will take up most of your time, so you'd have to have a helper.. Soon enough you'll have helpers for everything and become a small community. That small community will soon start trading with other's, and soon things like roads will need to the dug.. It will snowball from there until we have a government system like what we have today..

There's nothing individual in this country, and it's nothing new.

Historically, parties/movements with a mainly nationalist agenda tend to move further and further to the right, eventually evolving into dictatorships - as in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany.

I wouldn't like to live in a Britain/England governed by a group whose policies are set by the editor of the Daily Mail

Heard this today. And it brought a smile to my face:

Every country I have been to have had friendly and nice people in it. If we listen to the knobs in power, everyone hates everyone else and they all want you dead.

The entire world hates the USA, but nicer people I have yet to meet.
The English hate the French, but you get a hello when you walk along from total strangers (can't remember ever having someone here do the same here)
Even the dreaded Germans are welcoming and will buy you a beer for the price of a smile and a chat.

Good and bad everywhere, unfortunately the bad tend to hold office. :smt011

errmm ..... There were Great Yarmouth Borough Council elections there as well as the general election.
Both the Conservatives and Labour polled 1034 votes in the Yarmouth North ward. The result was still the same following a recount so election officials took out a pack of cards stating that aces were high.

Sitting Conservative councillor Robert Beck went first drawing a three, but his Labour challenger Charlie Marsden drew an eight and was declared the winner.
:smt005

Maybe that was a try out for the much talked about election reforms?
