Dunno - never maxed it out in top - never really found anywhere do do so where a) it's safe enough b) I'm not going to end up spending the next x-months at Her Majesty's pleasure

According to
http://www.gearingcommander.com/ with a 15t front and standard rear, you should achieve 151.4 mph at peak revs in top gear. However given the optimism of most speedometers (anything up to 10% over-reading), it's highly debatable what speedo reading you'd see at full lick.
Since bikes started routinely breaking the 150mph barrier I've always regarded top speed as a bit of an irrelevance. At that kind of speed an instant ban and (probably) jail time would be be in order, and if you were unfortunate (or foolish) enough to have an accident at that speed then all bets would be off.
The only places I'd be maxing the bike out would be a) on a racetrack b) on a bloody long runway c) a German Autobahn.

Back to the original question: all the rings showing, then the space of another one again. Very quick steering, especially with the OZ's, but never any shakes or wobbles, rock steady all the time.

So is it just the way the engine is made then that it won't reach top rev's with that gearing and if not what gearing would give you top speed and what would that be ........if the straight was long enough .......
Maybe i'm thinking too much into it and should just except top speed as it is ..............................was spoilt with Gixer thousand for top speed i suppose .........

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

The battle between power and aerodynamics and aerodynamic drag.
..... and maybe the Gixer wasn't actually so much faster - from what I've read their speedos are significantly more optimistic than Aprilias.

Probably right with the gixer ........i had one flat out on the bypass once ( or twice ) reading 186 on clock red-lining 5th gear .....in to 6th and revs just dropped to ten half thou .......bloody great bike though ....
Found this as well .....think that's either an SP1 OR SP2 doing the chasing .....

Good video that. He needs to hang off a little more though. Wouldn't have to lean it as much for the same corner speed.

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

As a matter of interest, can anybody tell me:
1) How many rings in total there are on the Showa Falco forks?
2? What the distance between rings is in mm?
