tuono handlebars
hi all, ok its probably been covered a few times but to fit tuono yokes and bars is it a straight forward job, as in do wires and throttle cables from falco fit the tuono wider bars, also does the fairing have to be trimmed for clearance? always said if i wanted straight bars i would've bought a tuono, but after 3 full days riding i think they would be better for me!!

and makes a good difference - i am fairly sure several of us here have done it, and pretty sure that i have posted some images of how i did it - my solution was over engineered though....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
done, havent been out yet, but just sitting on it theres a great difference, my brake fluid resevoir just about clears the fairing so didnt need to move mount, indicator switch just touches tank but realistically when am i gonna have that much lock on, the clip ons now sit flush with the top of the fork tubes, is that the same as everyone else?

yep - is the same
and re switches - slacken off and rotate slightly and should be fine and reservoir - i had to on mine but glad it is clear for you - i think mine did just clear but i moved it as it was too near if that makes sense

If you do decide to change the bars to tuono bars you need to do this:
Longer brake and clutch hoses (not tuono ones as the calipers are slightly different) you can get them from www.streetfighterstore.co.uk
Tuono or RSV throttle cables (They are identical - and both are couple of inches longer than falco ones)
Tuono yoke and bars are straight swap
You will also have to trim your fairing to get full lock around the top near the screen
If you do end up wanting to do this - i've got a spare front fairing in bronze and some tuono bars laying about
It's far cheeper to do what Aladinsane says though
